New York Fashion Week just came to an end and we were so excited to see more and more Asian models being represented. Did you spot any of these gorgeous faces?
1. Liu Wen
Walking for Longchamp, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors? Can Liu Wen get any more perfect? Starting her modeling career in 2005, she has thrived ever since. She is the first East Asian model to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and the first Asian model to make Forbes’ annual highest-paid models list. She first attended Fashion Week in Paris in 2008, and since then, she’s become the top choice for every prominent fashion show.
2. Yang Mi
Yang Mi was named Stuart Weitzman’s face of House earlier this year. She also starred in their new campaign where she and other faces of House danced along to upbeat music, which was super adorable! Oh, not to mention, Yang Mi also used to be the global ambassador for Michael Kors.
3. Issa Lish
This Japanese-Mexican model is bound to take over the industry someday! Issa Lish started her model career at the age of 14 when she was discovered in her dad’s sushi restaurant. Since then, she has been consistently slaying the runway with her unique style. She’s attended numerous fashion shows, such as Versace’s. This year she walked for Anna Sui and I’ve got to say, she blew everyone away!
4. Soo Joo Park
This stunner has been the face for a ton of campaigns, MAC Cosmetics being one example. Did you know that she also graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in architecture? Soo Joo Park is representing Anna Sui this year in NYFW, and she pulls off Anna Sui’s new vibrant colored theme clothes insanely well!
5. Ming Xi
How can anyone not like this sweetheart? Ming Xi entered a modeling contest two years after graduating from college and was immediately offered a contract from Givenchy, which quickly boosted her reputation. She’s walked for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show six years in a row and has appeared in the campaigns for many eminent brands, such as Michael Kors. In this year’s NYFW, she represented Ralph Lauren.
