About

Our Mission:

Generasian is a media platform and publication dedicated to fostering dialogue and promoting stories of Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) at NYU. We are a physical and virtual gathering space for creatives, storytellers, and writers looking to share their narratives. We use media to empower and bridge all communities within and beyond Asian America.

We strive to maintain a scope in our content creation that appeals to all Asian American youth. The variety in the media we produce is our way of celebrating the variety of experiences and identities that exist within Asian America. Social, political, cultural, and beyond—we hope to always reckon with the most seemingly banal to the most pressing of issues that have brought us all together as a community. 

A Note from the Editors:

Welcome to Generasian! We’re so glad you found us and hope we can provide something that you’ve been looking for. This platform is meant to be a place where you can express your thoughts and stories while learning and reading from others who are going through the similar experiences. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, support, understanding and knowledge, our aim is to create a community through Generasian that will make you feel safe and valued. There’s no better time than now to come together and be there for one another.
