Music Monday: Epik High

Happy Monday Generasian!

This week we are featuring Epik High again, to celebrate another song from their much anticipated album Shoebox. This music video links two tracks, “Spoiler” and “Happen Ending” into a carefully constructed story of a love gone wrong.

It’s nice to watch this video, with its softer subject matter, after the tough-guy feel of “Born Hater.” Even with the different tone, Tablo and Mithra’s words are just as beautiful and hard-hitting. The two tracks adeptly demonstrate that the album is not just about the tough sound that “Born Hater” perpetuated – it truly is a mixed, unpredictable bag in the best possible way.

Even if you are not a fan of love songs, I know that reading the lyrics will be sure to convince you otherwise.
