Music Monday: Busker Busker

Good evening! This Monday’s almost over.

Sorry this post is coming to you so late. Busker Busker (버스커 버스커) is a Korean indie band that was the runner-up in the third season of Korean audition show Superstar K. Their lead singer and guitarist Beom-Jun started the group Busker Busker in university, wanting to reinstate an artistic cultural presence to the streets of Korea. He was inspired by the ‘busking’ street performers, and wanted to coordinate festivals to showcase talents of artists of all mediums, which explains where they got their special name.

This song Love, at First (처음엔 사랑이란게) is a track off of their second album. It is about the questioning uncertaintly and loss felt after a first love has ended. Gently sung, it makes you quietly contemplative about your loved ones and what it would feel like to lose them. The music video also has a few artistic elements that make it a pleasure to view. I hope you enjoy it ~
